Xihua targets to become the “new media operator”. 2009, Xinhua possesses a TV screening network that all European TV spectators have access to. Across Europe , It has installed widescreen LCD monitors in many highly populated concourses, which include Chinese Embassies, Chinese Consulate Visa Halls, reception areas of Chinese business and cultural organizations, hotel lobbies, super markets, and Confucius Institutes. The TV monitors all roll in play the Xinhua multi-media news. Up until May, 2009, Xinhua has installed and started to run 32 widescreen LCD monitors in Europe . The number of European audiences of these monitors reached 20,000 per day and 6 million per year. By the end of 2009, Xinhua News Agency will have nearly 100 TV monitors in Europe . They will broadcast every day at least 8 hours of Xinhua’s multi-media news about China . The approximate number of annual audience will eventually reach more than 16 million. Xinhua’s TV screening network will gradually cover all European countries as the installation of monitors increase in number and location. The established TV screening network promises high-end audiences all over Europe and satisfactory reception all year round. It\'s a window for European audiences to further understand China more directly.
