AN INDIANA MAN IS SAFE AND SOUND AFTER GETTING STUCK IN A COLORADO SNOW STORM FOR FOUR DAYS.
JASON PEDE HAS ALL THE MODERN DAY CONVENIENCES... G-P-S... A CELL PHONE... AND A LAPTOP.
BUT NONE OF THOSE HELPED HIM WHEN HE FOUND HIMSELF LOST AND STUCK IN WHITE-OUT CONDITIONS.
PEDE HAD SOME FOOD AND SODA IN HIS CAR AND WAS ABLE TO SURVIVE THERE FOR ABOUT THREE DAYS UNTIL HIS S-U-V RAN OUT OF GAS.
IT WAS THEN HE DECIDED TO TRY TO WALK TO FIND HELP.
HE NEVER MADE IT, AND WOUND UP PASSING OUT IN THE SNOW.
BUT A PASSERBY SAW HIM AND WAS ABLE TO BRING HIM TO SAFETY.
PEDE says: "Seventy-two hours passed this morning and, and I was prepared for the worst. I really was. I didn't think I'd ever hear his voice. I didn't think I'd ever see him again."
PEDE says: "He said that he was driving through the mountains behind a plow truck and that it was snowing out."
PEDE says: "So, the next morning, still no word, so I called my local police and I made a report."
PEDE says: "When I first started to get worried, I went on Facebook and posted a message that said to everybody: Please say a little prayer for me. My husband was driving through a snow storm in Colorado and he's disappeared."
PEDE says: "When I finally ran out of fuel, I actually... I, I took it upon...I took it upon myself to walk the seven miles from where I was at to the roadway. That was my only way of not dying, I guess."
PEDE says: "They found me, I think it was 8:30, 9 o'clock. Some out-of-towners were driving by and seen me basically collapsed on the side of road."
PEDE WAS DELIVERING A DOG TO A WOMAN IN PUEBLO WHEN HE GOT STRANDED.
THE DOG ALSO SURVIVED THE INCIDENT.
