EVERYONE'S FAVORITE COACH IS TRAVELING BACK IN TIME.
ON THIS TUESDAY'S EPISODE OF "GLEE," COACH SUE SYLVESTER SUGGESTS YOU'LL SEE A DIFFERENT SIDE OF THE GLEE-CLUB HATER.
ACTOR JANE LYNCH SAYS YOU MIGHT EVEN SEE HER CHARACTER AS A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT HERSELF.
LYNCH says "..Sue is, I always figured Sue was revenging, avenging something .... she was kind of going back to High School. I always assumed when I was creating the character, and it turns out this story does indeed go back to a moment in sue's life when she does go back to High School .. when she was humiliated and shamed ... and she's been operating from that wound you know, for the next 30 years."

LYNCH says "..Well I'm always thrilled with what the writers give me ... I love how every time I get too mean.. they find her achilles heal, last season in the form of her sister, who passed away .... or becky, who is the down syndrome cheerios there's always some tenderness that she's protecting.. and we'll find out about another tenderness tomorrow... and it's always a big surprise to find out what they're going to reveal about Sue and also the Mother played by Carol Burnett, who wrote the forward to my book, which I am very proud to say ... was a Nazi Hunter and basically abandoned us as children. So uhh they always give me something that's textured and cool."

LYNCH says "..Sue's comments can't really go over the line because she has a crazy world view that I think the audience gets that umm there have been a couple of lines that I think I've said, I think that it takes it out of Sues world. Sue is not dangerous... we should never fear her. She is kind of a baffoon.... and has a ridiculous way of looking at the world ... and I think that if you stay within that framework you will never go too far"

LYNCH says "..Well, when they made Carol Burnett my Mother that was kind of a dream come true .... I don't see how we can top that ... but I'm sure they will find a way ... perhaps Julie Andrews will be on the show ... umm I would love to have someone like Tom Daly, some kind of belting number with Tom Daly. But, I stopped fantasizing about what we could do next for Sue because I know that the writers hand me things that I know I would never be able to think up myself ."
