VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN ON THE STUMP IN THE BATTLEGROUND STATE OF OHIO.
THE VICE PRESIDENT DISCUSSING REPUBLICAN MITT ROMNEY'S PROPOSED PLANS FOR MEDICARE AND THE EXTENSION OF THE BUSH TAX CUTS.
BIDEN ALSO DETAILING PLANS BY THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MATH AND SCIENCE TEACHERS, INCREASE FUNDING TO COMMUNITY COLLEGES, AND THE PASSAGE OF NEW TRADE LAWS.
BIDEN says, "One thing they didn't tell you is that their plan would immediately cut the benefits of 30 million people on MediCare as I speak. What they didn't tell you is what they're proposing would actually cause the Medicare trust fund that pays all the Medicare benefits to run out of money by 2016. And most of all, the most important thing they did not tell you: they're not actually for preserving Medicare. They're for a new plan. A voucher plan. Voucher care."

BIDEN says, "Look, as I said: the President and Governor Romney have fundamentally different views on the importance of where we create jobs. President Obama knows that creating jobs in America, keeping jobs in America, bringing jobs back to America...that's the job of a president."

BIDEN says, "...of extending the Bush tax cuts, 500 billion dollars of that tax cut goes to - listen to me now- 120 thousand families."

BIDEN says, "But the president and I have a different way forward. We know to create jobs and create a decent standard of living for the American people, you do it from the middle out, not the top down. Because when the middle does well, the poor have a way up and the wealthy do very wealthy as we create a lot more millionaires. So here's what we do. Our plan first focuses on education. 100 thousand new science and math teachers in the next ten years. Two million workers learning new skills for the new economy through our community colleges. One million new manufacturing jobs in the next four years. Real and fair and enforceable trade laws so you can level the playing and let the rest of the world buy what they want: a product that says 'made in America. Made in America.'"
PRESIDENT OBAMA IS CURRENTLY ON A TWO-DAY BUS TOUR IN FLORIDA...
WHILE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE ROMNEY IS CAMPAIGNING SATURDAY (9/8) IN VIRGINIA.
